The weather in Brisbane is very similar to The Gold Coast with a beautiful warm tropical climate. Due to the fact that the weather in Brisbane is just about perfect all year round you have lots of options for fun activities to keep you occupied in your down time.  Brisbane is located about 1 hour north of The Gold Coast and is very easy to get to via public transport.

Public Transport

Public transport in Brisbane is smooth & efficient it is very easy to move around the city. You have many different options from buses, trains right through to public bikes. For a small Fee at any number of Brisbane City Council Bike Racks you can hire a bike and explore the city and its Park-lands.

Accommodation

Home Stay: Home stay Accommodation is wonderful short or long term option. Home Stay is when you stay with an Australian family. You are provided with meals and a fully furnished bedroom. This is a very popular option for International Students because you get to surround yourself with an English Speaking family who will help you and support throughout your study.

Hostels: There are lots of Hostels in different locations all over Brisbane. Hostels are a perfect short stay option with very good pricing and the opportunity to make friends from all over the world.

Price: From $30 – $60 per night AUD

Share House: Share houses are a perfect long term option for International students. You can get share houses all over Brisbane. There are numerous web sites and message boards where you can find different properties to rent depending on your needs.

Price: From $80 – $200 per week AUD
