Cost Of Living: High

Sydney is one of the most famous places in Australia. The Harbor is well known all over the world for its beauty, night life, and cultural scene. Unfortunately the down side of this is that the cost of living in Sydney is a lot higher then Brisbane or The Gold Coast.  Sydney enjoys a temperate climate with a mild winter, and has more than 340 sunny days a year. Average minimum temperatures in the winter months of June through to August is around 9°C , and a Summer average of around 26°C.

Public Transport

Public transport in Sydney is excellent. It is cheap, efficient and can take you absolutely anywhere you need to go. You can also apply for student discounts to make the cost of your public transport even cheaper.

Accommodation

This is a very popular option for International Students because you get to surround yourself with an English Speaking family who will help you and support throughout your study.

Hostels: There are lots of Hostels in different locations all over Sydney. Hostels are a perfect short stay option with very good pricing and the opportunity to make friends from all over the world.

Price: From $30 – $80 per night AUD

Share House: Share houses are a perfect long term option for International students. You can get share houses all over Sydney. There are numerous web sites and message boards where you can find different properties to rent depending on your needs.

Price: From $100 – $300 per week AUD
